"Dear Body,

I love you. I know I should say it more. You love me no matter what. You're always by my side and you never let me down. I wish I could say the same. I've bullied you since I was eight and still, you've stuck by me. I've battered you with my words til you were black and blue and somehow you've never flinched. You're my biggest fan, my number one supporter and I want you to know how grateful I am. You are beautiful. I'm sorry that I reduce your worth down to a layer of fat on my stomach. You are so much more than that. Sometimes, I lie in bed and just listen to us breathe. And I think about how incredible you are and how lucky I am to have a body like you. How unimportant everything else is in comparison to the fact that I have a body that is healthy. It makes me feel ashamed of the things I've said to you and the things I've put you though. I want you to know how much I love you. You are one of a kind. You were there for my first breath and you'll be there for my last. How could I ever be unkind to one so devoted? I promise I'll try harder. I love you, unconditionally.
