Amy is currently a third year art student, mainly working with prints of various sizes as well as video and projections.

"I like repetition and distortion and seeing how far I can take these elements in my work. I really like the concept of phenomenology which explores how the body interacts with our environment and how we go on to experience things, and how we can observe things differently depending on other external factors.

For me, the experience is just as important as the process. I would like my work to surround the viewer, so they are able to be fully submerged within it.

Two key artists that I’ve kept hold of throughout university are Pipilotti Rist and Yayoi Kusama, both of whom use a lot of colour as well as challenge viewers to see their work in different ways, which is something I aim to do with my own work."
